Mary Lou Weidman workshop at Aunt Mary's Quilt Shop in Smokey Point Washington...Mary Lou is wearing an autumn tiara I made for her, I love the maple leaf blocks behind her. Aunt Mary's Quilt Shop is one of my favourite shops, I only wish I lived closer than a 2 hour drive over the border to it. Carrol has a whimsical sense of colour and design. The 3 quilts below are hanging in...her restroom!

Carrol also has an emergency Princess Kit tucked on top of the mirror, just in case you need it!
This is a picture of my friend Rita presenting Mary Lou with a box of Canadian chocolates. Everyone knows Mary Lou loves chocolate!
Several of us brought Mary Lou some fun gifts, she has a pumpkin wand in her hand and is wearing a hat on her head, it had a cherry pin that she is wearing on her jacket.
The class that Mary Lou was teaching is called "The House That Jack Built." I've decided to have houses that represent my grandparent's, parent's and aunt's houses as part of my neighbourhood.
The purple striped house is my grandparent's house and the next one under construction is my parent's. I may have other houses that they lived in also included or it may become a second quilt.
Here is Sue's house that is under construction. She and Stephanie made 2 different great t-shirts that they wore each day.
I think that this is Stephanie's house.
I'm not sure whose house this one is but I love the turquoise and greens that she used.
Here is another house under construction. This gal did some work at home after class. Behind is the beginning of another wonderful quilt depicting Christmas dinner.
Linda has taken a class from Mary Lou before, and decided to start work on a second story quilt. It was fun hearing the story about the pig and her father and uncle learning to speak English.
Carrol was very patient with us and took several pictures of us with about 6 cameras with Mary Lou and her quilt behind us. There were 14 of us in the class and I think we all had a great time. Thanks to both Mary Lou and Carrol for a wonderful time.
