A last look at Spokane and Post Falls and the road home.

I made a brief stop at the Quilting Bee, I liked two of the bees they had hanging, but didn't take any pictures of quilts or the shop.

They have a great sale hall and specials as you come in the entrance. The shop is big and nicely laid out.

Next stop was A Heart Like Yours, they have recently moved into a new location of about 4,000 square feet. They have several themed room and a nice sitting area for those not interested in quilting can sit while you shop!

This turkey quilt caught my eye, I like the albino one in the corner.

A closer look and you can see the great quilting depicting the feathers.

This rusched nose gay is pretty. I like the dragonfly background fabric.

A stitching corner.

Aunt Gracie's kitchen corner.

I like the little desk below the hanging.

Next stop was Hattie's, love this note as you enter.

Last year this cow caught my eye, love the Mohawk and the boots on this gal.

Lovely batiks and samples.

Interesting decorating using a tin star display.

Some brights in this lovely appliqué piece in the classroom.

This is the entry, see how it gets wider in the rear?

A quick trip back to Post Falls to My Favourite Things antique mall, I couldn't resist this little moon and star chair.

I've always liked these little Scottie pitchers and this one was priced right to come home.

Blue skies greeted me in Davenport on the drive home. I stopped in at the Cowboy Cafe for breakfast.

In the distance you can see the snow capped mountaintop that I would drive over to get home.

In Waterville I stopped at a quilt shop and saw this delightful painting on a closed store front.

Yesteryear Quilting has a great collection of fabrics and even better prices. The little shop I adored last year has closed sadly but they may open in a new location.

In Wenatchee I stopped in at Attic Window Quilts, love this sign, unfortunately my flash didn't fire but your get the point.

Retreat day 4 with Mary Lou

Here is a picture of all my fish together. I'm planning on doing some appliqué in the blank space in the middle. I probably will add some borders to it, but will think on it for a bit.

Breakfast started with a lovely fruit salad.

Cappuccino muffins with chocolate cappuccino spread.

My pet flamingo has a bit of bling thanks to the fairies. Love the pink leparr handbag, it has chocolate coins inside.

Wendy decided that Candy the cow had to have a star tiara, a holly collar along with some berries are being added. She will be up to her knees in icy snow. Wendy has been having fun designing her.

A lovely cheddar star tiara.

Caesar salad with chicken mozzarella pizza for dinner.

The pizza was delicious.

Sandy has been working on her appliqué cow.

I got a good start on my flowers for the upcoming exchange. The checkerboard is a fabric designed by Mary Lou and the polka dots I used for my watering can. I think I'm going to add stems and leaves.

Mari put some borders onto her birds of paradise quilt.

Judy has been adding her fused appliqué pieces, love her turtle.

Cathy decided to make her granddaughter larger and will add the Lincoln monument along with the Washington monument, fireflies, herself and some words.

Janine has been busy making flowers.

Cyndi has expanded to a handbag and a shoe, flying geese and a heart.

Carol is making steady progress.

Tomorrow will be our last day. We've had a good time, today we went to the Coeur d'Alene hotel for a lovely lunch and enjoyed watching sea planes landing and taking off and the boats cruising the lake.

Day 3 Mary Lou retreat

We started sewing and Mary Lou had a show and tell and discussion about using colour in quilts. This very large quilt remembers her grandmother who was a cowgirl. I have a full picture of this from a previous retreat. I love the colours she used to depict the horse, the eyes are great.

Grandma loved purple.

She made great cowgirl, not cowboy coffee. The bugle beads on the cactus just sparkle when you see the quilt in person.

That rabbit is just jumping off the New Mexico quilt.

Mari serving up her lunch, another great salad with turkey.

Cheese, and mini corn, tomatoes and cucumbers on top of fresh romaine.

An example of a hoochy flower.

Tina finishing of the last of the cup cake display for dinner's dessert.

Pork rellenos, warm tortillas, brown rice, sour cream and salsa for dinner.

Grated cheese, lettuce and onions to garnish your meal.

Cup cakes waiting to be enjoyed.

My road trip top is finished. Monday morning I made the licence plate and appliquéd it on in my room.

A bit closer look at the story inside the frame. When my mom saw it she was concerned a out the car straddling the yellow line!

Cathy made a patriotic half size cow today.

Below the patriotic cow's legs you can see a mini moo also by Cathy.

Judy is adding more sea life to her Trusty Rusty quilt.

Mari's birds of paradise are all together, I think she is going to add a border.

Carole's collection is growing.

Cyndi has three potted flowers.

Janine is perfecting her hoochy blocks.

Sandy is appliquéing her cow, she didn't want to cut up her lovely background.

Wendy's Christmas cow is getting a holly collar that is 3-D.

A closer look at the collar, notice the candy cane print for the cow's face.

My fish are all together and need some eyes appliqués or sewn on. I'm doing that tonight and will pat a picture tomorrow. Lots of progress being made by everyone.
