Houston International Quilt Festival...a bit more traditional look.

 A Place to Long For by Akiko Yokoyama.
 She saw a picture book and wished that is how her home looked more like.
 Very lovely details and applique.

 Celebration of Feathered Stars by Helen Rode, Jane Graetzel, Joan Wyatt, Colleen Zabreznik and 18 other friends of the Vereins Quilt Guild including an on line friend of mine Helen Ridgeway of Fredericksburg Texas.
 Needle turned applique enhanced by embroidery and custom free hand machine quilting.  Note the Blue Ribbon!

 Hand pieced, appliqued and hand quilted by friends.

 Inspired by the Sunflower block interpreted as a Navajo blanket.
