Lion's Gate Quilters' Guild 2014 Show.

First a few nature photos from last week, bees busy collecting pollen.
Great seed head, not a dandelion.
Went to the Lion's Gate Quilters' Guild show this morning, love the bold prints on the polka dot background.
 A closer look.
 Quilter's details.
 Right across another great quilt.

Wedding Rings, I know this quilt pattern as Single Girl.

Whimsical quilt with a purpose in mind.
Love the intent that Helen has for this quilt.
 Love the flamingo!
Another bold design, lots of modern quilt influences at the show.

This looks like Dragon Eyes not Eggs to me.

My friend Sandi Hill was working the show so I had to grab a picture of her with her quilt.

Love the stitched Scotties in all four corners.
Free cut double wedding ring design by Bonnie Hwang.

Great combination of applique and machine quilting.

A closer look at the stitching.
She decided to de-stash and create a Freddy Moran House quilt.
Great brights along with black and whites.

Great mini neighbourhood.  Love the plane.

 Another modern style influence.

I love this fabric and have wondered what to do with it.

Check out the spider web quilting, great idea!
Now I know what to do with mine!
 Another great neighbourhood.

Same class but a different view.

 This is another cool effect.
Here are a few close up of a quilt I shared in April by my friend Judy.  Uschi has it featured in her shop in the vendors mall.

 Another wool and cotton quilt.
 Sue Spargo Flower Bed pattern.
Love this mosaic tile effect by Carola in her booth.
Another bee and nature visit.  If you get a chance go to the show tomorrow, it is at the Sport Complex at Capilano College in North Vancouver, not open on Sunday.
