A Tisket, A Tasket...

Cheri Payne has an online Facebook group that I belong to and she has offered some of her older patterns to the group to enjoy.  This pattern was originally done as a red work piece but I decided to do it in wool and change up the stitching bordering the piece.
Cheri has A Tisket, A Tasket, Red work Baskets... around them.  I decided to make a basket for each season.  All my baskets are made with wool that I felted from thrift store garments I bought.  The only new wool is the yellow and pink Cone flower pieces.
A Tisket, A Tasket, A Baskets for Every Season...I realized my error after finishing the piece.
When I do Stitchery I like signing the front of the piece.
Spring Basket filled with budding shoots.
Summer Basket with a blooming Cone flower.
Autumn has a fading Cone flower.
Winter has an empty basket with a snowflake on it.  I'm in the process of hand quilting this piece and will show another picture once it is finished.
I thought the rainbow homespun worked well to frame the piece.

Love seeing the closeups, love the stitching with the same blue from the edge and the homespun was the perfect border for them.

Stick an apostrophe in before the s, and it will still make sense. =) That WAS a fast turn around!
