Quilt show in a garden

Yesterday I went to a lovely quilt show at this private home owned by Arlene. She and some friends used to own a local quilt shop and still get together with friends to stitch.

The sign had flipped in my first shot so I turned it around as I walked up the stairs.

This was a crayon challenge. They had a tin of crayons which colour they chose along with black and white was their theme.

This was a lovely twisted Bargello quilt.

The left overs of the Bargello became this quilt.

Lupins and lambs in the garden.

Hanging from a tree.

Handbags hanging from branches.

Embellished berries.

Painted leaves.

Ode to Ricki Timms.

Black and white square in a square.

Quilts everywhere.

Visiting with friends. That is Arlene in the pink shirt (the taller one).

Threads for sale.

Embroidery cottons.

A book of their 2008 show.

Great hand drawn cartoon.

Very fragrant sweet peas, one of my favourites.

Tucked in amongst the garden.

Pink clematis.

Clematis seed head.

Lovely hydrangea.

Lovely purple.

Thanks ladies for a lovely show, it was a pleasure to see you all again.

What a sweet venue for a quilt show. I love how informal and cozy the show was with all the quilts hanging in the garden. Just lovely!
