Two quilt shops, purchases and Spring is arriving!

Fabric D'Eva is located on First Street in La Conner.
This is a two story shop with some amazing quilts on display.
It is a bit hard to get a good picture of this Salmon quilt but the work on it is lovely.
I also love the soft pastel Hawaiian Quilt and the Feathered Star on the opposite wall.
Again a bit hard to get a good photo but you get the idea.
A journey upstairs to check things out.
Good use of available display in this shop.
They have a small wool corner mainly kits upstairs.
As you walk down the stairs this greets you.
On closer exam the Jester sitting in the moon is throwing out lines with stars and mini bolts of fabric that are fabric swatches wrapped around mini cardboard bolts!
 Lovely fabrics on display.
A second long aisle running along to the back.  There is also a hug notion wall.  They have lots of panels on display for sale.
These three fabrics called my name.
At Fabrics Plus in Anacortes I found the grey and black sketch flannel to use as a background for an upcoming project along with the two wool fabrics, the one on the right reads a bit more brown/bronze than orange.  Sorry no pictures of the store, it has several thousand bolts, some that are in rows two deep.  In the back they have other fabrics and trim but I was on a flannel mission.  Each of the three other ladies with me found something to come home with them.  My friend Mary found more things here than she did at the show in Houston in October!
Next stop was In Stitches Quilt Shoppe which was formerly known as The Quilt Shop.  One big change is the lime green exterior along with a new owner.
Inside this brightly lit shop are lots of displays, two chairs for your partner to sit and wait and a large classroom in back.
They have a large notion wall.
Several aisles of lovely fabric with tempting patterns and goodies on the end caps.
 Sale corner.
 Cute cupcake hanging.
 Lovely samples.
Resident dog who is very friendly.
 Another look at notions.
A cute use of fabric to make a sewing machine cover...
...which some had to come home with me along with this coordinating Keep Calm fabric.
At the Quilt and Textile Museum I bought some lime green silk, variegated blue and green threads and beads for a project.
Yesterday I took a walk along the quay in the sun.  Notice the bicyclists on the left and the rhododendrons in bloom.
Snow is wisely in the mountains where it belongs.
 Crocuses are in full bloom.
 Daffodils enjoying the sunshine.
More daffodils and a couple walking in t-shirts.
If you look to the centre of the screen you can see two of the cherry blossom buds starting to show their pink petals, with more to arrive soon.
Hope Spring is just around your corner of the world soon.
