My wool group met on Wednesday and Uschi brought her Sue Spargo peacock piece she is working on. I had hoped that Sue would have offered it at our class in June.
Uschi has heavily stitched her moon.
Lovely wing detail.
Judy is peeking from behind her Earth 'n' Twig piece, almost finished but not quite.
Love the blue bird.
Uschi also brought along a pillow of elegant Santas dressed in white.
Each Santa has a different beard technique. Cast on stitches for beard, drizzle stitches hair.
Satin stitch for hair and open buttonhole filler stitch for beard.
Satin stitch hair and millions of French knots for beard...okay I exaggerated a bit.
Then I met my dear friend Heather and did a bit of shabby shopping. First at Not 2 Shabby in North Vsncouver, sorry the Scottie spoon holder isn't for sale.
She has some great signs.
She has one of these in her own kitchen.
A few blocks away on Marine Dr. we stopped in at Shabby To Chic Designs...I love this shop and never seem to be able to leave without something special.
Her shop is just too lovely.
Beautiful touches everywhere.
Love the snowflake bunting and wreaths.
A few snowflakes and stars came home with me.
Loved the Primitive stitcheries.
Need some angel wings?
Great stitching.
This was the day, cold and clear. Thanks for a lovely day Heather.
