On the road again Ellensburg, Odessa, Reardon Washington.

June 2nd I drove to Post Falls Idaho to attend a retreat with Mary Lou Weidman.
I stopped briefly in Ellensburg to check out a quilt shop and found this very interesting old building.
Just around the corner was Quilts by Dezine. http://www.quiltsbydezine.com/index.html
I found this shop last year on my was to the same retreat with Mary Lou.
She was having a sale and there was a group of old cars on display in front of the shop.
She has a lovely display of batiks, cottons patterns and other treasures for sale.
Next week is their annual dachshunds walk and they will be decorating this guy for display. There is a bone between the back feet to help him stand up.
Love this old building on the corner.
Next stop was Quilt Crossing in Odessa.  http://www.prairiecottagecorner.com/quiltcrossing.html
I found this shop the first year I drove to Mary Lou's retreat.  They have a lovely fabric selection and a large classroom.
A view from the front door.
 Back wall of the classroom.
One of two old machines in working order.
 A second on, a Singer.
Driving along route 2 heading east you can spot this sign on the right side. It says Tourist Activities  Buggy Barn Next Left.
Turn left and drive along the gravel road, Tramm Road.
Cross over the railroad track, but look both ways first.
About a mile up the road you see another sign, turn right and drive up and park.
Park and go to the shop.
An old wagon is outside the shop.
This is the building you are looking for.  http://www.buggybarnquilts.com/
Make sure you arrive in time.  Note no dogs allowed on the property, not even in your car!

Check out the samples high above you, love all the different greens they used for the backgrounds.
 More samples for inspiration.
 Another log cabin quilt.
From their new applique book that came home with me.
Love that wool piece behind the applique.
Another popular quilt that they are sharing.
When I arrived there were probably another  8-10 ladies inside the shop.
Tomorrow, the Farm Chick Sale in Spokane and then day one with Mary Lou's retreat.
