A local company called Que Pasa made some Canada tortilla chips, fun eh?
On July 1st the sky was blue, the breeze lovely and temperature records broke.
The roses were wilting in the heat.
Welcome to my complex.
Canada flags.
Our gazebo decked out for the celebration.
Today was another warm, breezy sunny day.
The hollyhocks are in full display.
The scent is amazing.
These blossoms remind me of Halloween...candy corn.
A bit closer view.
Beautiful blossoms.
One of my travel treasures.
I love turquoise and black with a touch of white.
See the sticker? $3.00 and the funds went towards a pet rescue.
A folding wooden carpenters ruler, I've always wanted on.
A wooden sewing basket.
It has a little ledge across to hold bobbins and things. I'm keeping my Primitive Gathering Block of the Week in it to take to sit and stitches.
Block number one finished. The word charity is to be penned in over the right stem, but I'm not sure if I want to do it yet. I'll wait and see what other words are chosen.
The freebie block is also done. They both need to be trimmed down.
Here's hoping the next mailing comes this week. They posted the first block along with threads to get you started. Now they will bundle four at a time to help cut down on postal charges. I love this consideration to out of country customers.
Stay tuned for more blocks and another quick trip to a quilt show.
